Fuel Efficiency Great Reason for New ‘Wheels’

Americans are worried about the economy, but getting rid of that old gas guzzler and replacing it with something fuel efficient is a must for many.

Chrysler reports sales up 14% in August with heavy demand for Ram Trucks. GM up 10% on sales of the Cruze and other compacts.

With approx. 70% of the market reporting, the US auto industry is poised to show an annual sales rate of 14.5 million vehicles. Auto sales in 2009 were a mere 10.4 million vehicles.

I never thought about this one: GM and Ford executives have said that the improved housing sector could spur sales of pick-up trucks.
