What a great plan! When McDonald’s is all finished with its frying oil, it will convert it into biodiesel.

As we speak, it’s converting its British delivery fleet to run on the stuff.

The move will save about 1,700 tons of carbon annually, which is the equivalent of removing about 2,400 cars from the road each year, when the national rollout is completed next year, the company said.

Think your mouth will be watering for a nice batch of McDonald’s fries (They have been #1 in my book forever)? Matthew Howe, Sr. VP, McDonald’s UK, says the fuel would not smell like the company’s food. Good news, bad news kind of thing we guess.
